L.A. is full of great Jewish deli’s and Art’s is another fine example. When you walk in and you see the herring and knishes in the display window you know that this place is Kosher. The Pastrami is stacked high as you would expect from a class act deli, and the atmosphere is old school as they boast in their window with a big sign that says 52. 52 being the number of years that they have been in service (when I did the review), which in L.A. is an eternity. I recommend the potato pancakes on the side. They are delicious. You’re going to pay a pretty penny, but in this day in age if you want to have a full meal at an authentic deli, unfortunately this is the new standard. The best deli in the valley in my opinion, however I have not been to Brent’s in Northridge yet.
