The burger at JP’s is your standard run of the mill bar burger. J.P.’s first and foremost is a neighborhood watering hole that happens to have a grill. So they are not really trying to knock your socks off with this burger. They are in the business of getting you drunk. Sustaining your hunger is a happy bi-product. The characters in the bar are second to none, and since the Coach and Horses is closed, J.P.’s is number one. (This is coming from a guy who used to live a couple blocks away from The Coach, and now lives a couple blocks away from J.P.’s) Despite not venturing out too far on the social scene, J.P.’s is all I need when wetting my whistle, and after a few beers, their burger is top notch.
